I‘ve been a people photographer forever. Ever since I had my first camera, age 8, I have been visually documenting peoples lives. I have a library of images spanning decades which tell the stories of the people I have shared my life with. My images chart our adventures with rock climbing, camping, skiing as well as all those house parties! Wherever I went I took my camera. They provide a social history of growing up in the ’80s and beyond, which is irreplaceable. Those pictures define who we were at that time. I feel so lucky to have them to look back on.
AND THE WORLD SMILES WITH YOU
I‘ve always loved being a people photographer. For me, capturing the true character of someone has always been my aim. My approach to photography is still to do so in a relaxed and fun way. Even though a photography shoot will be highly planned, it will still have the originality of capturing a moment in time.
This photograph of two people laughing at a house party was taken around 1984! I really did take my camera wherever I went.
I believe that everyone should have fun, smile and feel good about themselves. As a people photographer, I put you at ease, create a comfortable environment and give you a great experience. That’s my recipe for creating images that you’ll love. Images that show the real you, put you in the best light and bring out your true character.
I’m a fun-loving, curious, adventure-seeking woman who relishes the challenges that every new day brings. Oh, and I absolutely love a cocktail. I’ve written a blog post about my cocktail love. If you love cocktails too, you might like to have a read.
